House of Chow | Our Story
Four decades of authentic Chinese craft
Since 1981, House of Chow has been a cornerstone of Columbia's dining scene — crafting authentic Chinese dishes entirely from scratch at Crossroads West Shopping Center on West Broadway.
The scratch-made kitchen
Every dumpling, egg roll, wonton, and spring roll begins from scratch in our kitchen, combining four decades of customer favorites with family recipes from Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Our menu reflects this commitment—there are no shortcuts, only care.
Sea, land, and sky
From sizzling seafood platters and slow-braised Mei Gan Cai pork belly to Peking Duck carved tableside (24-hour advance order), every dish reflects the right way to do things.
An intimate dining room
Warm wood paneling, red pendant lights, and booth seating set the scene. Friday and Saturday evenings add live piano — making dinner feel effortlessly special.
Recognized by the community
Multiple Inside Columbia Best of Columbia awards, first-place Reader's Choice wins from the Columbia Daily Tribune and Feast Magazine — four decades of recognition, earned one dish at a time.
